2020 was a difficult year for all, but with the new hope of the UK rolling out a vaccine, we are happy to advise all our customers and clients that we are carrying on business as usual – with a few tweaks and new procedures following COVID 19 regulations to keep us all safe.
Despite Lockdown our branches in Kilmacolm and Bridge of Weir are open for business, working with minimum staffing levels and remotely from home, so that we and Kingsley Wood Lettings and Estate Agents continue to offer the best service possible to our clients whether it be for legal work, lettings or sales services.
Scotland maybe in lockdown but we are continuing to work within the parameters set down by Holyrood! The Government have confirmed that it is acceptable for “everyone to carry out activities in connection with moving home (including viewing a property), or for activities in connection with the maintenance, purchase, sale, letting, or rental of residential property that the person owns or is otherwise responsible for. Travelling for the purposes of undertaking essential work on a property other than your main residence should not however be used as a pretext for a holiday! You should not stay longer than for the length of time required to undertake the necessary work”.
We think it is important to engage with you to see if we can be of any assistance to you in 2021, whether it’s for a property lease, sale or purchase or a need for our legal services. We’ll be in touch shortly to see how we can help.
VISITING THE BRANCH
The Kilmacolm or Bridge of Weir office can be visited by appointment only and social distancing measures are in place to ensure we facilitate branch meetings safely. In line with Government guidance, you will be required to wear a face covering when visiting one of our branches. There is also hand sanitiser available for all visitors to the branch and enhanced cleaning procedures are now in effect.
We will continue to offer property appraisals for all clients. For those who would like a member of the Kingsley Wood team to visit their property for a valuation, we now have protocols in place to allow us to do this safely, helping to protect your wellbeing, as well as that of our team. We will discuss these procedures with you, ahead of your appointment, to ensure you are entirely comfortable with how it will be carried out. Property surveyors are now also able to carry out inspections in order to provide Home Reports in Scotland.
To help protect our clients and our team, physical viewings will be reduced to minimise the number of people visiting a property. Kingsley Wood are able to facilitate the opportunity to attend a virtual viewing first, if this is preferred by the vendor and / or buyer, in line with Government guidance the recommends only those looking to make an offer should then attend a physical viewing at the property itself.
Vendors will be given clear guidance on how to prepare the property for viewings ahead of time and viewers will also be given information on what to expect.
